Videos are the perfect way to spread that contagious passion of yours. They’re great tools for displaying both your personality as well as your organization’s. By doing something more interactive and personal, you’re allowing your relationship with your donors and volunteers the chance to deepen. Videos are also great ways to garner attention from new potential donors and volunteers!
Now that you’re convinced making a video is a good idea where do you go from here? Start creating ideas for topics and ways that will allow you to demonstrate your expertise as well as spread your message. When thinking of ideas for how to go about doing this, take these tips into consideration:
- Less is more. Don’t overwhelm your viewers with too much information at once.
- Focus on getting them to realize why they want to do something, rather than telling them what they need to do.
- Answer Viewer Questions! People respond to topics that interest them, which are not necessarily the topics that interest you the most.
