2017 Fall Opprtunities (#2)

There are a number of opportunities for students to get involved with SGA in the coming year because of last minute vacancies on multiple SGA committees.

Interested students should fill out this brief application by Thursday October 5th, 2017 at 5pm. 

The current vacancies include:

  • Executive Diversity Chair– Executive Board
    • (**must be junior or senior)
    • Serves on the SGA Executive Board
    • Chairs and oversees the 17-member SGA Diversity Committee
    • Serves on the college’s Intercultural Affairs Committee
    • Must hold 4 pre-scheduled office hours a week
    • Receive a grant each semester
  • Senator– Commuter Student
    • (**must be a commuter)
    • Represents commuters on the SGA Student Senate (meets once a week 11:30-12:45am)
    • Have the power to introduce motions, and pass resolution in the SGA Senate
  • Senator- 2019 Junior Class Committee
    • (**must be junior)
    • Represents their class on the SGA Student Senate (meets once a week 11:30-12:45am)
    • Have the power to introduce motions, and pass resolution in the SGA Senate
  • 2021 Representative– Diversity Committee
    • (**must be First year)
    • Represents their class on the SGA Diversity Committee (meets every other week)
    • Help plan events celebrating diversity on campus
  • 2019 Representative– Diversity Committee
    • (**must be junior)
    • Represents their class on the SGA Diversity Committee (meets every other week)
    • Help plan events celebrating diversity on campus

According to the SGA bylaws the Executive President “shall have the power to appoint students when vacancies occur on SGA committees.”
