Thank you to everyone that supported the It’s On Us event on Thursday. A lot of thought, time, and care went into planning the day’s event, so it was extremely touching to see the community come together to raise awareness about such a serious issue. I understand that it may have been a triggering event, but I hope that it allowed us to realize the large number of us that have been impacted by sexual assault and the vast amount of support that is present in our community. We are proud to say that among, students, staff, and faculty, we passed out approximately 800 nametags throughout the day and about 200 people attended the evening event in The Hill. There will be pictures posted in the upcoming days so keep an eye out for that!
If you haven’t signed the online pledge yet, take a few seconds and click here to commit to creating an environment in which sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported. Once again, thanks for all the support and have a wonderful weekend!
