Support Disaster Relief for the Philippines

Our concerns and prayers go out to all who are suffering as a result of Typhoon Haiyan and to those who are concerned about family and friends who may be in the midst of the destruction it has caused.  A fundraising effort is being mounted at Stonehill College to support those who are suffering in the Philippines.

The collections at this weekend’s Masses in the Chapel of Mary will be dedicated to relief aid. Additionally, donations can be made at the following offices until this Monday, November 18, 2013. The following offices will be dedicated donation sites:

-The Office of Campus Ministry [South Door of the Chapel of Mary]
-The Office of Student Activities [103 Roche Dining Commons]
-The Office of Intercultural Affairs [149 Duffy Academic Center]
-The Office for Mission [124 Duffy Academic Center]
**Students may also use their Hill Cards at the
Roche Commons Information Desk to make donations
to this effort. **
All of the monies collected will be directed to Catholic Relief Services [http://emergencies.crs.org/typhoon-haiyan-help-philippines-survive-and-recover/] to support their extensive relief efforts in the Philippines.  [Checks can be made payable to “Stonehill College”  Please note “Disaster Relief” on the memo line of the check.]
Thank you for your consideration of support for this important and urgent effort.  The following link provides other opportunities to support the relief efforts: http://world.time.com/2013/11/10/how-to-help-typhoon-victims/.
