What has been happening in Senate?

What has been happening in Senate? //What should I be aware of on campus?

  • Think. Act. Lead:
  • An initiative to truly engage and mentor students through their four years at Stonehill
  • Attempts to answer the questions/ help students to discern: “Who Am I?” “How have my experiences shaped who I am and who I want to be?”
  • College was awarded a large grant (over $230,000) for this initiative; look a bit further to see how this might apply to YOU!

  • Long Term Plan (summer 2015- spring 2020) (Steve Beauregard):
  • Areas of Review:
  1. Curriculum (New programs? Graduate programs?  Ways to engage juniors and seniors in high school?)
  2. Digital Strategy/ Technology (Online courses?)
  3. Recruiting and Enrolling (the next generation) (How to keep enrollment up? New branding?)
  4. Engaging EVERY Student (Think. Act. Lead. —see above!)
  5. Inspire (lives of social responsibility) (HOPE, The Farm, CBL Courses, ITS…)
  6. Cultivate (a culture of collaboration, innovation, and assessment… a commitment to diversity)
  7. Manage Resources

  • Remember- you can log on with the same credentials you use to access myHill
  • Major bonuses to this system?
  • You can use this LONG after you leave Stonehill (an email will eventually be going out to help transition!)
  • Any documents you upload to Handshake (i.e. resumes…) will be saved forever- very handy!
