Men’s Hockey defeats SNHU

The Stonehill men’s ice hockey team pulled their second win of the season Tuesday, Nov. 18, against Southern New Hampshire University. The final score was 6-3.

The Skyhawks had 6 different goal scorers: Junior Richard Harris, senior capain Stephen Balsamo, junior Nate Soter , senior Kevin Aufiero , junior Kevin Airoldi , and sophomore Brian Higgins.

Senior goal tender and assistant captain, Chris Tasiopoulos, made his fourth start in net this season, making a total of 17 saves to contribute to the Skyhawk victory.

“I think it was our best team effort so far this season,” Tasiopoulos said.  “Everyone is starting to get on the same page and buying into the system.  Going forward we just need to make sure we keep on improving from game to game and continue taking steps forward.”

The Skyhawks play their next game at home Saturday, Nov. 22, at 3:30 p.m. against Franklin Pierce University at the Foxboro Sports Center.
